Athletic Enhancement Programs

This program integrates high-level strength and conditioning principles andtechniques. Our goal is to increase each athlete's strength, power, agility, energy system resources, and flexibility resulting in players who are stronger, more powerful, quicker and at a lesser risk for injury. The program is designed around the sport-specific needs of each individual athlete. Athletic enhancement sessions made by appointment only. If two of you are sharing a session, you must work out at the same time and each individual must purchase a package.

    Sessions will include:
  • Active neuromuscular warm-ups to improve flexibility and proper balance
  • Explosive training utilizing plyometrics and Olympic lifting
  • Movement skills training in linear, lateral, vertical and multi-directional facets
  • Powerzone training to strengthen the athlete's torso
  • Agility drills to increase quickness and pattern reaction abilities
  • Energy systems training to meet the rigors of the sport
  • Pre and Post testing for physical parameters

Fall Martial Arts Schedule

Master Villancourt will teach Youth (ages 5-13) and Adults (ages 14 and older) the classical Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do. You can visit their site at vkoreanmartialarts.com.
You will learn self-defense, improve your physical condition, flexibility and increase self-confidence. This course consists of twelve weeks of two one-hour classes per week. Additional on time charge of $25.00 for a uniform

Individualized Packages (2-3 players per Instructor)

These basketball workouts will consist of highly individualized instruction of fundamentals of basketball based on what that individual's specific needs may be. Each player will develop skills and confidence through a positive, high-energy workout. Players will be grouped with one coach and one or two other players of the same age and skill level. This is for grades 3 and up based on the (08-09) school year.

Areas of Emphasis: Shooting fundamentals, ball-handling, passing, post and perimeter play, movement without the ball, rebounding, defensive principles.

Tennis

Youth Beginner Level - Instructional program designed to provide basic skills needed to play tennis. Lessons are taught in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Youth Intermediate Level - This level will concentrate on understanding the preparation, the hit zone, and the finish of the serve.

Advanced Level for Youth and Adults - This level is for adults and older youth. They will focus on fine tuning each stroke, singles and doubles strategy and endurance.

Power, Agility, Strength, & Speed, (PASS)

This program is designed for serious athletic perfomance enhancement and for the athlete that wants to improve their personal performances. This is a regimented off-season program that builds speed, power, strength, and body agility. It is a summer conditioning program for all athletes and for all sports. The NCR staff will be instructing and training the participants. Each class will be limited to 12 participants per class.
The PASS staff will have the final say in which session each athlete participates in.

The boys and the girls will be split up.

Private lessons are available for youth and adult swimmers. Classes are limited to two participants. The Nordby Center follows the American Red Cross swimming lesson program.
